A NOTE FROM BRANDON LONG, GEAR:30 GM
WHY I AM THANKFUL
I am thankful for the opportunity to manage a local business that provides quality outdoor goods and services to Ogden residents and beyond (thanks, internet). I’m thankful to work with a group of people who care—not just about helping outfit the community, but also about helping customers improve their outdoor experience. Our staff is wonderful, motivated, and (nearly) always happy to be at work. I love that.
SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES
We have some. We have winter hard goods that are not scheduled to arrive until after Thanksgiving, some during December, some after Christmas, and some as late as March (I know, it's ridiculous).
So, if you’re in the market for winter hard goods—skis, snowboards, bindings, boots, etc.—I would suggest you buy them as soon as you can, as we have no way of special ordering or refilling any orders this season. What you see is what you get as far as inventory for this shop this winter.
I LOVE OGDEN
Ogden supports her own, and that is the best thing about this mountain town. We are diverse, growing, connected, and gracious. Now is the best time to shop local. Hit up all locally-owned shops, restaurants, and artisans this season and show them some love. Navigating the pandemic has been difficult, but ongoing supply chain issues have really affected some industries more than others. Your support of small business is vital this holiday season.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, and successful deal-shopping weekend! I also really hope it snows in copious amounts soon, because I’m ready to ride!
Cheers and be good,
R. Brandon Long
