If backpacking over 5,000 miles has taught me anything, it's that durability—and practicality—are king.
I've learned what I like to include in a simple med-kit, which sleeping bag keeps me just warm enough, and which water filter won't let me down. In the video below, I briefly discuss my choice of ultralight pack, the exact clothing I bring on a trip, and yes, my favorite lightweight camp stove. Because for me, a hot meal and a cup of steaming coffee is usually worth the extra 7.2 ounces.
